Our past investments have given us market and technology expertise in a number of technologies which define our focus today. We prefer to get engaged as the lead-investor, but will consider joining with others.

EGORA's core technologies are:

• Broadband communications (systems, components, services)
• Optronics for industrial, medical and scientific applications (e.g. cutting, welding and marking with lasers, laser-based measuring methods, medical treatment methods)
• Semiconductor technologies (analysis, production equipment, chip technologies for computers, sensors or solar applications)
• Platform technologies for bioanalysis, especially for genomic and proteonomic applications.
• Software solutions and services for business applications, IT and logistics

Other strategic investments, preferably with co-investors, are environmental technologies, New Media and biotechnologies. EGORA would prefer to coinvest in this fields.
